1. Tell me about yourself?Wrong Answer- I grow up in Southern Florida and I was married for 1 year got divorced and moved to New Jersey.
Right Answer- The interviewer is not looking to hear about why you got divorce or where you grow up. Please always relate this question to your work history, tell the interviewer about the experience you have and the training you have completed as it relates to the position you are applying for.
2. Why did you leave your last job?
Wrong answer- I hated that place and my boss was a real you know what. And I just did not go back to work because I had it with those people.
Right Answer- Regardless of the reason you left the job you will want to stay positive here, like seeking advancement or a change that is positive in every aspect.
3. Why should we hire you?
Wrong Answer- Your guess is as good as mind
Right Answer- Here is your time for your to shine. Point out your strong attributes and what you think you can contribute to the position you are applying for and the company as well. Smile and speak clearly.
4. What kind of Salary are you looking for?
Wrong Answer- Well I need $20 dollars that’s what I made on my last job/
Right Answer- Do NOT be specific. This is a loaded question and does not deserve and answer so ask the interviewer the pay scale for the position, the interview will be caught off guard, if the interviewer still requires an answer tell them it would depend on what the job requires of you.
5. Are you a team player?
Wrong Answer- No. I like working alone who need the office gossip
Right Answer- Yes. Of course you are a team player and tell the interviewer of positive experiences you have had working as a team.
